Prof. Sangeeth Rathnayake

Prof. R.G. Sangeeth Rathnayake has 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. He has served in numerous key roles, including Head of the Department of Languages, Director of Student Support Services and Welfare, Director of the University Arts Center, and professional student counselor. A renowned scholar in Hindi, he holds a PhD in Hindi and has contributed extensively to curriculum development, research, and the establishment of academic collaborations. He has published over 30 research papers and authored two textbooks. Prof. Sangeeth is also a composer and musician, credited with creating the melody and anthem for Sabaragamuwa University. As a recipient of prestigious awards like ‘Hindi Sevi’ and ‘Hindi Sahitya Sevi,’ he has furthered Hindi studies in Sri Lanka.
